| Account Manager – Northern Europe |
The Company: Labcyte Inc. is a global leader in the provision of liquid handling instrumentation, automation and consumables for low-volume liquid handling with headquarters in Sunnyvale, California. Labcyte products provide high-speed, non-contact dispensing across a wide range of applications. Our markets include pharma and academic drug discovery, compound management and assay screening, high-throughput genomics (NGS, Synthetic Biology, Single Cell Genomics) and precision medicine.
The Role: Reporting to the European Sales Manager, this Account Manager will be responsible for account management and the sale of Labcyte acoustic liquid handlers, automation and software for this geographical territory. This experienced individual will need to appropriately utilize various corporate resources to ensure the business objectives are met. Specifically, this individual will need to successfully demonstrate the following skills: prospecting, lead generation, lead evaluation, technical feasibility, business planning, key account management, CRM Database management.
Job Responsibilities: • Successfully meet sales objectives within the territory • Effective territory and time management • Generate new opportunities using your existing territory knowledge, public information and Labcyte ’s marketing and applications resources • Provide sales forecasts and update reports on a regular basis • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with ability to sell across a range of departments and levels. • Develop and maintain account, contact, lead and opportunity information using SalesForce.com • Attend trade shows to staff booth activities
Geography - states covered include: UK, IRE, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway
Education, skills and experience: • A BS degree or equivalent experience in a Science discipline • Command of the English language, written and oral • 5 years proven sales experience in the main market segments of Drug Discovery or Genomics. Experience with laboratory instrumentation, preferably with robotic liquid handling equipment • Excellent existing customer contact network and key account knowledge • Good presentation, communication and inter-personal skills • Experience with customer/purchasing negotiations • Prepared to travel overnight as required. • Must live in territory, in appropriate location as no relocation is offered • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
