About the Opportunity
MagneMotion is looking for an experienced stainless steel TIG welder with direct experience and or the ability to learn how to operate and maintain a robotic TIG welder. Must have experience in electro-mechanical assembly, be a versatile team player and support our engineering and production activities. Duties will include TIG welding as well as development, modification, fabrication, test and assembly of our electro-mechanical systems.
The position requires the use of manufacturing equipment, including manual and robotic welding equipment. This position will be responsible for assignments requiring judgment and initiative in resolving issues and making recommendations to complete tasks in resourceful and effective ways.
Set up and weld product based on the job at hand or using Operational Method Sheets (OMS).
Perform manual TIG welding of various stainless steel parts.
Operate and maintain robotic TIG welder
Read drawings, sketches, schematics, diagrams written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to build prototyping and/or testing to perform process development functions.
Use hand and power tools to assemble and mount components and fabricate test fixtures.
Document testing results.
Assist in troubleshooting problems and identifying fault areas.
Other duties as assigned.
2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing TIG welding environment performing prototype design, fabrication, test and documentation.
Set-up and maintenance of robotic welding a plus. Willing to train the right candidate.
Must be comfortable working with small and large components.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses.
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and other measurement devises.
Diverse, broad based experience in various engineering environments with knowledge of current application materials.
Strong mechanical and computer skills including MS Office.
Exposure to a formal Quality Management System such as ISO9000, AS9100 or equivalent. Lean Manufacturing background a plus.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work standing.
Must be able to read and write English.
Responsible, organized detail-oriented self-starter and team player with excellent communications, analytical, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work well in a small team environment.
US work authorized with excellent references.
Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
