This role provides an opportunity to work with one of the few RoboMET\.3D robotic serial sectioning systems in the world, as well as the full array of material characterization equipment\. Opportunities exist to collaborate with world\-class experts in other fields including additive manufacturing, thermal\-sprayed coating, nuclear weapon component design and analysis, pulsed\-power and high energy density physics, nano sciences, energy sciences\. Research materials are metals and ceramics including additively\-manufactured parts\. Results from this research improve understanding of material performance related to process\-structure\-property relationships\.
