The National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC) has 20+ years experience developing and deploying robots into many applications across multiple sectors, such as agriculture, construction and humanitarian demining. We are seeking a Technician II to work under the NREC Operations Manager in creating and maintaining the facility, environment, and support equipment for robotics research. In this role, you will perform a wide range of mechanical tasks, including carpentry and metal fabrication, and be able to operate the hand tools and powered equipment associated with the tasks. We are looking for someone who has proficiency in basic housekeeping and lawn maintenance activities. You will be able to assist and, at times, act independently with material handling, landscaping tasks, and heavy equipment operation. You will also have proficiency on a PC for communication, search, and documentation purposes.
Associate's degree required or equivalent experience in related field
At least one or more years of relevant work experience
