Our client, a leader in the engineering industry, is hiring a Mechanical Automation Quotation Engineer. This position is responsible for developing price quotations for mechanical automation projects. Projects are typically in the $100,000 to $1,000,000 range and include complex automation of mechanical systems.
The company designs, manufactures, integrates and installs complete automation solutions such as conveyors, sortation, palletizers and robotics, and automated storage and retrieval systems – all managed by advanced machine controls and software. Company also offers customizable warehouse execution systems with software capabilities that manage entire fulfillment processes, including equipment, labor and business intelligence, integrated with voice- and light-directed picking and putting technologies.
Estimate content, scope, and costs for controls manufacturing, controls engineering, controls debug, robot programming, integration and tryout.
Complete understanding of quoted scope of work based on original estimated content, project line up, and documentation provided.
Maintain accurate matrix's of all estimates per project/job number.
Estimate work for past projects such as kits, product changes, and enhancements.
Participate in project team meetings.
Perform all other duties, as assigned
Minimum five years of Quotation Engineering experience for Mechanical Automation Systems.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, etc.), or equivalent experience.
Strong background in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotics, assembly systems and mechanical manufacturing in automotive tooling and integration.
Familiar with robotic spot welding and MIG welding systems and equipment.
Strong understanding of controls manufacturing and engineering.
Capable of working independently with minimal direction or supervision.
Capable of prioritizing work based on work load and current project activities.
Comfortable with speaking technically in front of groups
Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications.
Strong analytical skills used to review and compile data.
