Central Lakes College was created in 1995 by merging the liberal arts education offered by Brainerd Community College with the career training supplied by Brainerd/Staples Technical College. The college serves more than 6000 students annually and offers liberal arts transfer education along with more than 60 career programs. The college’s Business and Industry Center provides customized training and development assistance for a variety of enterprises. CLC has cultivated strong ties with K-12 as well as other regional partners in education and industry. The well-equipped, modern campuses in Brainerd and Staples attract quality faculty, staff and students. The College is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.
